About the Parents

Poppy
Poppy is a true gem of the farm. At 38 pounds, she’s the perfect balance of compact power and farm-smart versatility. Calm and reserved when the moment calls for it, she also has the energy and drive to keep up on long horseback rides, tracking the back feet of my horse for miles and miles. She’s a dream on leash, has excellent recall, and is always happy to tag along for work or play. Poppy is fantastic with people of all ages and gets along beautifully with all kinds of farm animals, making her a natural part of our homestead life. She loves being a mama and knows how to be a snuggle slug when the day winds down. Balanced, smart, affectionate, and endlessly versatile—Poppy is exactly the kind of dog we want for our family and breeding program. Embark Genetic Testing Results OFA Thyroid Results - Normal OFA HIPS & ELBOWS OFA Basic Cardiac OFA Eye Results
Melvin
Melvin is an exceptional purebred Old English Sheepdog and an outstanding representative of his breed—sound, stable, and thoughtfully bred from our own lineage. He is the son of the beautiful and well-balanced Sir Watson × River, carrying forward the temperament, structure, and health we value deeply in our program. Melvin lives a truly idyllic life in the Pacific Northwest, roaming 8 acres, protecting his flock of geese, and keeping watch over his family. His days are spent playing in the river, hiking the surrounding land, and confidently patrolling his property—work that has shaped him into a grounded, self-assured dog with excellent instincts and presence.
